(vi)    Training Centres

One of the important aims of this institution is to promote Ghalib’s language and give it an employment orientation. For this purpose the Ghalib Academy is running the following training Centres 

    (a)    Calligraphy Training Centre 

    (b)    Decorative Calligraphy Training Centre

    (c)    Urdu Type and Shorthand Training Centre 

These Centres established with the collaboration of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language erstwhile Bureau for Promotion of Urdu, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 1973 to promote Urdu language and traditional script and provide employment for Urdu knowing persons. Most of the students who got training from these Centres have got employment in Government sector, Semi Government sector, newspapers and private sector. Some trainees have gone abroad after getting training.

    (d)    Computerised Calligraphy Training Centre 

In 1999, Union Minister for Human Resource Development Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi inaugurated first Computerized Calligraphy Training Centre established by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, M/o Human Resource & Development, Government of India at Ghalib Academy. One year diploma in Computer Applications & Multilingual DTP is being run. 60 students got admission in this Centre every year. This is a job oriented course. So far 250 students have completed this course and became medium level IT professionals and employed in different sectors. Contents of this course are 

                1    Module I : Information Technology

                2    Module II :  Business Systems

                3    Module III : Web Application Development

                4    Module IV: Multilingual DTP and Urdu Stenography

                5    Module V: Project Work

 

    (e)    Urdu Certificate course :

To keep the young generation in touch with Urdu, Urdu Academy, Delhi runs at Ghalib Academy an Urdu language course recognized by Delhi University
